PillBox ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application for personal tracking of medications, supplements, and vitamins. This Privacy Policy explains how PillBox handles your information.

TL;DR

PillBox does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you enter stays on your device. We have no servers, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking.

What we don't do

• We do not require an account, email, or phone number to use PillBox.
• We do not transmit your medication list, intake history, or any other data off your device.
• We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps, websites, or services.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.

What stays on your device

All information you enter in PillBox — medication names, dosages, schedules, intake logs, and settings — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device SwiftData framework and a shared container accessible to the PillBox app and its home/lock screen widgets.

This data is included in your device's automatic iCloud backup only if you have iCloud Backup enabled for your iPhone. PillBox itself performs no cloud sync. If you restore your device from an iCloud backup, your PillBox data is restored with it.

System permissions PillBox requests

• Notifications — to remind you when it's time to take a dose. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → PillBox → Notifications. Notification content is composed on your device and never leaves it.

PillBox does not request access to contacts, camera, microphone, location, photos, health data (HealthKit), or any other personal data.

Children

PillBox is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
